Next choose your starting avatar and you are half way there. After that you'll want to go shopping for your new Skin, Eyes, Ears, Tail and whatever else you wish to add. There are many ways to gain credits to pay for items. One is to buy them directly from IMVU or a third party seller like Cassiopia. She offers credits for a lot less than if you buy them directly from imvu.
